The Gray Knight Rises

I took a standard PowerWheels Batmobile, stripped it of all the cheesy stickers etc and gave it a new paintjob. I stenciled patterns and cut them out using an x-acto blade. The entire process took around 1 week.

Girls like Batman too, so i created a Batmobile for mine.

Ava's 1st Birthday Wonder Woman Party: Games

What's a party without games??!! These are a few games and events I planned/built for the party. If you'd like to know what i did specifically, post a comment below...

Ava's 1st Birthday Wonder Woman Party: Prep

Birthdays and events in general take a lot of preparation as well as planning. Nowadays it's not as simple as ordering a cake and a clown. Every good birthday party has a theme and a bounce house is almost always commonplace.

In order to create a memorable experience, you have to go beyond that...sometimes that just means paying attention to details, considering your guests and their children (not to mention keeping them entertained) and the most important thing of all....PLANNING!

Ava's 1st Birthday Wonder Woman Party: Apparel

My daughter's first birthday, being a special occasion deserved a special surprise. Without anyone's knowledge or any prior posting to the secret group on Facebook. I created/painted her very own custom shoes to be worn the day of.

I had purchased all white size 3 Converse Chuck Taylor's prior and proceeded to paint them in a Wonder Woman theme.

They are unique and a great keepsake for years to come.

Ava's 1st Birthday Wonder Woman Party: Social Media

Months leading up to the party a series of social media components were launched via Facebook.

1) Special Edition SuperHero cards of the parents. (they had hidden clues to solving the codes).

2) SuperHero movie clips relating to the plot of the party were released.

3) Interactive missions starring: Robin the Boy Wonder infiltrating Lex Luthor's labs (also providing clues).

4) Status reports from the Justice League of America: newsflash, weather, updates, missions, winners, etc.

Ava's 1st Birthday Wonder Woman Party: Invitations

Each family received a red bubble wrapped envelope with the Wonder Woman logo on one side and their child's picture and code name on the other.

Inside they found a Wonder Woman comic book with a special code imprinted on a ribbon that went around it, along with a confidential letter with a personal message to the child with mission and a reminder card with qr codes for picture and video download links of the party.

Each invite was personally delivered to each home without the guest's knowledge.
